by LS Anders on January 14th, 2010 in Rogues, Security Alert.

GhostAntivirus is a new rogue anti-virus application. It is a clone of InternetAntivirusPro.

GhostAntivirus is spread by using fake online scanners.

Once installed GhostAntivirus will scan the system and detect several fake infections. To be able to remove these infections the user is required to purchase a license for the software.
Ad-Aware will detect GhostAntivirus as Win32.FraudTool.GhostAntivirus.
