Lavasoft Meets IT Editors
We're back from our annual visit to the U.S. where we had the opportunity to meet with several of the industry's most influential IT editors and journalists. These folks are super busy, so we'd like to send another thanks to the following people who gave us the opportunity to sit and share our enthusiasm about our new Ad-Aware versions, as well as upcoming developments at Lavasoft.
Neil Rubenking with PC Magazine is always interesting to speak with and one of the most respected product reviewers out there. After our meeting he put Ad-Aware through the ringer on his 12 - yes 12! - test machines and delivered a very thorough and objective Ad-Aware product review. The best bit was Rubenking's comment, "And it blocked every single scareware sample, in most cases allowing no trace whatever of the installation. It joins five other products that scored a perfect 10 in the scareware blocking test."
CNET Download.com's Seth Rosenblatt sat with us to learn more about the Ad-Aware Free Anti-Malware version and you'll find his review on the Ad-Aware product download page. 4.5 stars are hard earned from the CNET group who's requirements have grown progressively stricter as the security software market matures. We also hope that Seth gets a chance to have an in-depth look at the Ad-Aware Pro Internet Security version and see the full-blown power of the product. Seth, if you are reading this, let us know if you need anything!
Nick Mediati over at PC World gave us time to present the new version and talk about what's coming. Preston Gralla posted a blog with his look at the new product, and we hope the PC World team gets a chance to review the product as soon as their schedule allows.
And finally, a hearty thanks to Larry Walsh with the Ziff Davis Enterprise (Eweek, Channel Insider, etc.) who captured our discussion about new channel distribution verticals, including those that most would shy away from.
Thanks to all who made our visit fruitful, and we look forward to seeing you again next time!
