October saw Ad-Aware reach another milestone in its history with the launch of Ad-Aware in Swedish!
It has long confused people that a company based in Sweden has a flagship product which doesn’t speak the company’s native tongue, but the truth be known, many in the Lavasoft family do not speak Swedish either! As a truly global company, we have around 15 nationalities represented in our headquarters, based in Gothenburg, so English has always been the company language.
A new wave of scam e-mails are now hitting victims around the globe. They usually appear to come from trusted friends and look like this:

You may have seen the news that broke this week on a phishing scheme that has allowed scammers to harvest credentials from Hotmail accounts, leaking a list of thousands of log-in details online. Now it seems the scope is more widespread, and is involving users of other web-based mail accounts.
