Born in India, Albin found his place in the world in Gothenburg, which he believes is the best place to live in Sweden, despite the often chilly weather. His biggest passion, outside of work, is football (also known as soccer, depending on your part of the world). While his own career in the sport may be over - he blames this on a little too much good food and drinks - he has high hopes for getting back into football-playing shape in 2008.
"The moment I had my engineering degree in my hand, I went out on the Web to find a job that would go hand in hand with my education and interest - I found Lavasoft. I used to have the free version of Ad-Aware on my computer and couldn't believe the company's headquarters were located in my hometown.
My job as a malware analyst is really rewarding and stimulating; malware constantly evolves which means our work changes from day to day. It's satisfying to know that the work we do, analyzing malware and releasing new definitions files, makes a difference to millions of computer users around the globe.
What I like the most about Lavasoft is the friendly and talented people I work with. They make the workday feel short. I can't remember even one day when I haven't heard a really bad joke which is so bad that I just have to laugh. And most of that humor comes from the research department!"
